Finally people are talking about planning and infill and questioning the mantra of affordable housing and urban infill that suits the developers and the wealthy.
I don't believe it's selfish to want to bring up kids in a home with a backyard, or to have a shed to fix things and prevent them going to landfill - especially in a country like Australia that has so much space.
ABC's Q&A and Four Corner's programme have both looked at urban planning (or the lack of it!).

Government has clearly failed here, it is time to tell them so. Should we continue to look to them for solutions? I'm beginning to think going to the same people who have failed us already is not the way to fix this. Communities need to come together, take control of their suburbs and build the communities they need to live in.
